Mansfield Town FC were delighted to accept a donation of £5,000 from the Stags Supporters Association towards recent new signing Luke Foster from Oxford United.

This recent cash injection takes the SSA's investment to the club to £30,000 this season, including the £15,000 donated by the SSA via the Stags Fans United Supporters Trust (SFU).

Already this term the SSA, which currently boasts 560 members, have funded the players pre-season trip to Cumbria and Go Karting day, a Marquee to the entrance of the Kevin Bird Suite, New Raffle Drums, a Defibrillator for physio Jason Truscott as well as making other contributions.

Chairman Andrew Perry told mansfieldtown.net:  "It is an amazing gesture from the SSA.  Having spoken to SSA Chairman Dean Foulkes, he tells me that the majority of these recent funds have come as a result of hard work from both adult and junior members who sold Christmas raffle tickets.
We thank the SSA for their ongoing support, which has been tremendous.  I urge anyone who wishes to help support us, to also support and join the SSA."

Thanks to ALL fans who helped buy and sell tickets which has resulted in direct help on the pitch for Mansfield Town FC!

SSA would like to thank Richard Parkes for the kind use of the above image.
